Castle Hill Baptist Church aims to serve pre-schoolers and their families in a variety of ways.

Sunday School

Sunday School includes a Nursery Department that is specifically structured and resourced to meet the needs of little people. Participating children are introduced to bible teaching, craft activities, games, singing and the companionship of other children under the care of loving Christian leaders and helpers.

Naturally, the program is tailored to the age of the children. The Nursery Department is open to the participation of children from families who are regularly involved in the life and activity of CHBC and to families who live in the local area who are simply looking for a place where their children can be exposed to Christian instruction.

PlayGroup provides an opportunity for parents/carers and pre-school children to get together for several hours a week in a safe and secure environment. While the children play and enjoy activities together the parents/carers have the opportunity to enjoy some adult interaction with others of a similar age and stage in life.

PlayGroup is not an unstructured ‘play time’. Different activities and elements make up the routine so that amongst the fun the children are being exposed to a range of learning experiences. While the usual participants are toddlers with their mums, dads, grandparents, other relations and other carers are most welcome to participate.

The CHBC PlayGroup has been operating for over 40 years. People from the local community out-number participants from families who are regularly involved in the wider life of CHBC. To maintain a safe environment, there is a limit to the number of people in each group.

PlayGroup runs Tuesday to Friday mornings (from 10am to midday) during school terms.
