Holiday Club

During the first week of the mid-year school holidays, at the end of second term, CHBC hosts a weeklong Holiday Club for primary aged children. The program runs from 9am to 2.30pm each day, Monday to Friday, with a family concert on Friday evening. Holiday Club exposes children to the Gospel in the context of excitement, activity and fun. Throughout the week youngsters participate in teaching times that are laced with drama, challenges, singing and interaction, craft work, games, small group times, and much more.

Each year, Holiday Club adopts a theme that adds to the variety and excitement of the week. Holiday Club is a highlight of the year for CHBC with more than 80 members of the congregation committing to be leaders, drama participants, musicians, caterers, handymen etc. Pre-registration for Holiday Club is essential and bookings need to be lodged early to assure a place amongst the 180 children who attend.

Well over half the children that attend Holiday Club come from families in the local area who have no regular involvement with CHBC. So, whether you are already associated with CHBC or simply a family living in the local community, feel free to contact the Church Office or return to this web site around May each year to get the details about Holiday Club and to register children to participate.

KidzXpress is a mini-Holiday Club. KidzXpress is a one-day program for primary aged children, held in the holidays at the end of first and third term. Around 120 - 150 children participate and in most cases these are the same children who participate in the July Holiday Club. Children from families in the local community with no other affiliations with CHBC are most welcome to register for KidzXpress. Make contact with the Church Office or return to this web site in February and September to get details for the next KidzXpress.
